It depends on what you mean by best. On raw unit price, Liberty Lily ($1.25M) leads, but it was a Fourth of July quest reward and is gone. Among seeds you can still roll for, Aurora Lotus ($750K) is the ceiling. For most players the best practical seed is the highest-rarity crop you can reliably roll and afford to plant on the Outer Ring with a 5x-or-better mutation.
Is Aurora Lotus still the best seed?
Aurora Lotus is no longer the highest unit price overall — Liberty Lily ($1.25M) and Amber Hivevine ($850K) pass it — but both of those came from limited events. At $750,000 Aurora Lotus remains the highest-value seed you can roll for, which makes it the realistic endgame target. The odds are still extreme, so many players run Ghost Pepper or Papaya until max Seed Luck plus a Capybara makes Aurora feasible.
Is Papaya a good seed?
Yes — Papaya ($450K/unit) is a strong Update 4 Transcended option with better roll odds than Aurora Lotus. Worth planting on the Outer Ring with Rainbow or better.
What seed should I put on the Outer Ring?
