Rainbow Spray in Build A Ring Farm
The Rainbow Spray applies the 5x Rainbow mutation, and it is the first spray most players can actually afford to plan around. This page lists every route the dataset and the recordings support, with the price, the odds where odds are published, and the fights that are still open.

Both frames are captures from MistyLemon's 4 June 2026 recording (i9k0dVQL0Lc). That video carries word-by-word burned-in captions for nearly its whole runtime, so these are the only two caption-free seconds in it that show a Rainbow Spray. Everything the narrator says is labelled as narration, never as a measurement.
Game facts render from this site's reviewed dataset, last checked against the recordings and the community wiki on September 18, 2026.
Every route to a Rainbow Spray
Ordered by how directly each one answers the question. Priced purchases come first, then the guaranteed token buy, then the routes that can pay nothing.
| Where | Cost | Published odds | Can it pay nothing? | Evidence |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Gear Shop | $1T279 Robux | None published | Yes — luck or stock | Dataset |
| Plant Rush shop | —14,000 tokens | None published | Guaranteed if you reach it | Observed |
| Compost Machine | — | 20% | Yes — luck or stock | Observed |
| Night Market Pass | — | None published | Guaranteed if you reach it | Dataset |
| Trucker event | — | None published | Yes — luck or stock | Dataset |
| Galaxy weather event | — | 0.04% | Yes — luck or stock | Dataset |
Gear Shop
The stall ticks on a 5-minute clock and a manual restock costs 35 Robux (stock.ts). Rainbow Spray is NOT in stock.ts's rareStockIds — only Cosmic, Bubblegum, and Fire are — so the dataset treats it as regular stock, not a rotation prize.
gears.ts rainbow-spray record (barf.fandom.com/wiki/Gear_Shop) and the matching mutations.ts rainbow shopPriceCash / shopPriceRobux; the hotbar frame at 332.0s in i9k0dVQL0Lc shows twelve owned copies, which is what a Gear Shop hoard looks like
Plant Rush shop
The cheapest guaranteed Rainbow Spray in the recording — but the panel second itself carries a burned-in subtitle, so the page publishes the reading without shipping that frame.
shop panel read at 397.25s in i9k0dVQL0Lc: the Tokens tab lists Radioactive Spray 9,000 · Rainbow Spray 14,000 · Cosmic Spray 25,000 tokens. No gears.ts or mutations.ts field carries a Rainbow token price, so this stays a panel reading, not a dataset number
Compost Machine
The reward popup at 300.8s in i9k0dVQL0Lc is the on-camera payout: three cards, Super Fertilizer x5, Rainbow Spray, Super Pet Treat x5. Which machine tier paid it is a live dispute — see rainbowSprayDisputes.
Compost Machine odds panel at 190.0s in UJz_Fu5QjOI (2026-05-26 build), Next Tier (Overgrown Compost) column, same panel, 2026-05-26 build: Rainbow Spray 20% — the only published compost table that lists it
Night Market Pass
A tier reward, not a roll: reaching the tier pays the item. The free track pays one, which makes this the only no-cost, no-luck route the dataset records.
season-passes.ts Night Market table (revision 2317): tier 12 premium and tier 32 free pay one Rainbow Spray each
Trucker event
The grade itself depends on how the Trucker scores your farm, and the pool is drawn from, so this is a lottery on top of a lottery. The recording's 8:06 narration walks the Trucker stall without pulling a Rainbow Spray.
events.ts truckerGrades: Rainbow Spray sits in the S+ grade pool (9 rewards). No per-reward odds are published
Galaxy weather event
This applies the Rainbow mutation to a standing crop — you get the 5x, not a spray to store. It is the only route that costs nothing and is still worth modelling, which is why the page prints the arithmetic.
events.ts galaxy record: eventChance 4% x chancePerRoll 1% per plant = the effective rate shown in this row; mutations.ts rainbow trigger is Galaxy with perRollChance 1
This table is the whole of what this site can attribute. No route carries an invented percentage, and a route with no published odds says so instead of estimating one.
The cheapest guaranteed copy
Two routes can hand you a Rainbow Spray without a roll: the token shop and the pass. Here is what each one actually asks of you.

- 01
14,000 tokens is the cheapest guaranteed buy on camera
The Plant Rush Tokens tab reads Radioactive 9,000, Rainbow 14,000, Cosmic 25,000. Only Cosmic's token price made it into the dataset, so the 14,000 figure rests on one panel reading from a June 2026 build and is labelled Observed, not canonical.
- 02
The free pass tier is the only route with no cost and no roll
Night Market Pass tier 32 on the free track pays one Rainbow Spray. Reaching the tier is the work; there is no pull involved. Tier 12 on the paid track pays one too, which is the only reason to read that pass for this item.
- 03
The Gear Shop copy is not always there
The stall restocks on a 5-minute clock and a manual restock costs 35 Robux. Rainbow Spray is not in the dataset's rare-stock list — only Cosmic, Bubblegum, and Fire are — so it is treated as regular stock rather than a rotation prize, but no source publishes its appearance rate.
What the panels actually printed
Every number below was read off an in-game panel. Two of them ship as frames; two could not, because the exact second carries a burned-in subtitle, so they ship as quoted readings with a link to the timestamp instead.
Composter reward popup — Super Fertilizer x5 | Rainbow Spray | Super Pet Treat x5
ObservedShown as a frame on this page. 300.8s
reward cards at 300.8s in i9k0dVQL0Lc, verified caption-free at full resolution before shipping
Hotbar slot 4 — Rainbow Spray (x12)
ObservedShown as a frame on this page. 332.0s
spray hotbar at 332.0s in i9k0dVQL0Lc, verified caption-free at full resolution before shipping; slot 4 also reads Cosmic x1, Autumn x10, Void x7, Wet x20, Frozen x14, Radioactive x25
Plant Rush Tokens tab — Rainbow Spray 14,000 Tokens
ObservedNot shipped as a frame — the second carries a burned-in subtitle. Watch it at: 397.3s
shop panel at 397.25s in i9k0dVQL0Lc, read across the full 384-410s window; the second itself carries a burned-in subtitle so it is not shipped as a frame
Compost Machine odds panel — Rainbow Spray 20% in the Next Tier (Overgrown Compost) column
ObservedNot shipped as a frame — the second carries a burned-in subtitle. Watch it at: 190.0s
odds panel at 190.0s in UJz_Fu5QjOI, already shipped on /transcendent-seeds; both published columns total exactly 100%, so the row is quoted rather than re-derived
A reading that cannot ship as an image is still published when the panel is legible on camera, but it is never promoted to a dataset value, and it never enters a calculator or a ranking.
Where the Rainbow sits on the spray ladder
The priced sprays in the dataset, cheapest first, with the multiplier each one applies and the cash cost per multiplier point.
| Spray | Cash | Robux | Multiplier | Cash per multiplier point |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Wet Spray | $10M | 35 | 1.35x | $7.4M |
| Frozen Spray | $750M | 59 | 1.75x | $429M |
| Autumn Spray | $1B | 70 | 2x | $500M |
| Void Spray | $10B | 79 | 2.25x | $4.4B |
| Radioactive Spray | $100B | 159 | 3x | $33.3B |
| Rainbow Spray | $1T | 279 | 5x | $200B |
| Cosmic Spray | $25T | 849 | 8x | $3.1T |
| Bubblegum Spray | $250T | — | 9x | $27.8T |
| Fire Spray | $1qd | — | 10x | $100T |
| Eclipse Spray | $50Qn | — | 12x | $4.2Qn |
The last column is arithmetic on this site's own records, not a game figure: Rainbow costs $200B per multiplier point, which is more than Radioactive pays per point and far more than Cosmic. Rainbow is the cheapest way to get a 5x specifically; it is not the cheapest multiplier in the shop.
The free route, written out as arithmetic
The Galaxy weather event can apply the Rainbow mutation to a standing crop without you owning a spray. Both probabilities are published in the dataset, so the combined rate is arithmetic rather than a claim.

This route gives you the 5x on a crop that is already standing, not a spray you can store or trade, so it does not solve the same problem as buying one. It is the only route that costs nothing and is still worth planning around, which is why the numbers are printed instead of a vague 'rare event'.
Night Market Pass tiers that pay one
Tier 12 · premium track · x1 · Tier 32 · free track · x1
The Night Market tier table comes from a single wiki revision and is published by this site as unverified. Tier rewards are listed here because they name the item; the table is not a recommendation input.
Read the Night Market pass breakdownThe Trucker event pool
Rainbow Spray sits in the S+ grade reward pool, one of 9 named rewards. No source publishes per-reward odds, and reaching the grade depends on how the Trucker scores your farm first — a lottery on top of a lottery.
See the Trucker Spray guideSkill-tree nodes that name Rainbow
- Rare Reaction
Harvest 5,000 Radioactive, Rainbow, or Cosmic crops → +7.5% Rainbow+ sell value
- Stacked Luck
Use 20 Rainbow, 20 Cosmic, and 5 Bubblegum sprays → 10% chance a spray is not consumed
- Bubblegum Alchemy
Use 20 Bubblegum or higher sprays → +5% Rainbow+ sell value
- Deep Reaction
Harvest 250,000 Cosmic or higher mutated crops on Floor 5 → +5% Rainbow+ sell value
These nodes spend Rainbow copies rather than grant them, so the spray has a second cost beyond its price. Full skill tree
Two readings that do not agree
Both values stay printed. This site does not average them, and it does not pick one quietly.
Which compost tier pays the Rainbow
Conflict- 20% — Next Tier (Overgrown Compost) column, Compost Machine odds panel
- A Rainbow Spray paid out of a composter the narrator calls Rich compost, aiming at Prime
The only published compost odds table puts Rainbow Spray in the Overgrown tier column (UJz_Fu5QjOI, 190.0s, 2026-05-26 build). The on-camera payout at 300.8s in i9k0dVQL0Lc shows a Rainbow Spray card, and that recording's narration at 4:33-5:03 identifies the machine as the one he runs from Rich toward Prime. The popup itself never names its tier, so the page cannot tell you which column you are rolling. Both readings stay printed; no tier is assigned to the payout.
The Plant Rush token price
Conflict- 14,000 Plant Rush tokens — shop panel read at 397.25s in i9k0dVQL0Lc
- No token price published — gears.ts and mutations.ts carry no plantTokens field for rainbow-spray
The token shop is the cheapest guaranteed Rainbow Spray on camera, sitting between Radioactive at 9,000 and Cosmic at 25,000 tokens. Only the Cosmic price made it into the dataset (gears.ts records Cosmic's 25,000 in prose), so the 14,000 figure exists as a single panel reading from a June 2026 build and nothing else. The page labels it Observed and refuses to call it canonical.
What the narration says, and why it is not in the tables
Recordings are used here for frames and for the words the interface shows. Value judgements and spending rules from a narrator's mouth stay out of the data.
- i9k0dVQL0Lc (MistyLemon, 2026-06-04) advises that on a Transcendent seed you should 'not have a spray below radioactive or rainbow'. That is one player's spending rule, not a game mechanic: no source publishes a tier gate, and the dataset prices Rainbow at 5x against Radioactive's 3x without ranking either as a requirement.
- The same recording calls the composter payout 'already kind of good' and 'not a bad mutation'. Value judgements stay out of the tables; the page prints the multiplier, the price, and the published odds and lets the reader decide.
- WzgPy1oBY4Y and the other guide-channel narrations reused by /cosmic-spray describe the token shop as the reliable spray route without ever naming a Rainbow price. Absence of a spoken number is why 14,000 tokens rests on the panel reading alone.
What nobody has published
Gaps left as gaps, so you know which parts of this page are solid.
How often the Gear Shop stocks it
UnknownThe restock clock is published and the rare-stock list excludes Rainbow Spray, but no source states an appearance rate for the stall. Any page that quotes one is guessing.
Per-reward odds in the Trucker pool
UnknownThe pool is named and its size is known. The split between its nine rewards is not published anywhere this site can attribute.
Whether the 14,000 token price still stands
UnknownIt was read on a June 2026 build. The dataset carries no token price for this spray, so the reading has no second source and no expiry date.
A Rainbow Spray from the Compost Machine on a later build
UnknownThe odds table is from a 2026-05-26 build and the payout frame from 2026-06-04. Neither proves the current build still rolls Rainbow at that rate.
Rainbow Spray questions
How do you get a Rainbow Spray in Build A Ring Farm?
Four ways the dataset supports: buy it at the Gear Shop for $1T cash or 279 Robux when the stall stocks it, buy it from the Plant Rush token shop for 14,000 tokens, reach Night Market Pass tier 32 on the free track, or pull it from the Trucker event's S+ reward pool. The Compost Machine's Overgrown column also lists it at 20% on the build that panel was read from.
What does the Rainbow Spray cost?
$1,000,000,000,000 in cash, or 279 Robux, from the Gear Shop. Those two figures come from this site's reviewed gear and mutation records, which agree with each other. The 14,000 Plant Rush token price is a separate camera reading and is not part of the dataset.
What does the Rainbow mutation do?
It multiplies the crop's value by 5x. The Galaxy weather event can also apply it directly to a standing crop at 1% per plant while the event is running, which is how you can get the multiplier without ever owning the spray.
Is the Rainbow Spray worth it?
Compared with the sprays around it, Rainbow costs $200B per multiplier point, Radioactive costs about $33B per point, and Cosmic about $3.1T per point — so Rainbow is the cheapest way to get exactly a 5x, not the cheapest multiplier in the shop. If you already run Radioactive crops, the jump to Rainbow is the point where the pass tier or the token shop pays for itself.
Can you get a Rainbow Spray for free?
Yes, in the sense that the Night Market Pass free track pays one at tier 32 with no purchase and no roll. The Galaxy event is free too, but it applies the mutation to a crop instead of giving you an item you can store.
Plan the spray before you spend the tokens
The tier list ranks every priced spray by what it costs per multiplier point, and the calculator runs your own crop values against the 5x.
