Cosmic Spray in Build A Ring Farm

Cosmic Spray applies the 8x Cosmic mutation and cannot roll from any weather event, so every copy you will ever own comes from one of a handful of sources. Here is each route with its price and evidence level, how to apply the spray without wasting it, and the parts nobody has published.

Every frame on this page is a real capture from the source video below, checked at full resolution — no thumbnails, no recreated panels, no generated art. That video burns word-by-word subtitles over most of its footage, so these four frames are every subtitle-free moment it has; sections without an image are the ones where no clean second exists. Two frames are the channel's picture-in-picture stills, noted in their captions.

Prices, multipliers, and chances render from this site's game dataset, re-checked against both videos on September 9, 2026. The dataset's own source for spray prices is the community wiki's Gear Shop page.

Every way to get a Cosmic Spray

Five routes exist in the record. Two are purchases with a fixed price; three are luck. The badge on each card says where the information comes from, because the routes are not equally well documented.

  • Gear Shop

    Dataset record

    $25T · 849 Robux

Rarely in stock — the on-camera panel read Stock 0

The shop panel behind this page read $25T with a BUY button for 849 Robux and Stock 0, while a restock timer counted down beside it. The narration advises saving the full 25T before the item appears, because it can stay out of stock for long stretches.

  • Plant Rush shop

    Dataset record

    25,000 Plant Tokens

Plant Rush runs roughly hourly on public servers. Shoot the monster plants, bank Plant Tokens, and the shop sells Cosmic Spray for 25,000 tokens — the most expensive item it carries. Slow, but the only way to simply buy one without gambling on Gear Shop stock.

  • Plant Rush boss

    Observed on camera

    Luck-based

The video's author collects a Cosmic Spray off the ground after a Plant Rush boss fight, and the boss bar on camera reads 18,000 HP. The drop itself is real but luck-based: no drop rate is published, so none is shown here.

  • Plant Rush Boss Box

    Dataset record

    5%Luck-based

The dataset's Plant Rush record lists Cosmic Spray at 5% inside Boss Boxes, and boxes cost Plant Tokens too (2,500 for one on camera). Same currency as the shop route, worse certainty — buy the spray directly unless you want the box's other rolls.

  • Composter

    Dataset record

    Luck-based

The Composter is recorded as a Cosmic Spray source, and on camera it does pay out sprays — the reward popup shows a Rainbow Spray. Cosmic specifically never appeared in the recording, and no odds per compost tier are published.

How often Plant Rush starts, how tokens add up, and what else the boss drops are event mechanics, not spray facts — the Plant Rush guide owns that side of it.

How to use a Cosmic Spray without wasting it

Five steps, each grounded in the dataset or in the narration — the two agree on the mechanic that matters most: a crop holds one mutation at a time.

  1. 01

    Get one first

Every route ends in the same item: Gear Shop for 25T cash or 849 Robux when stock allows, the Plant Rush shop for 25,000 Plant Tokens, or a lucky boss drop. The Gear Shop is the only route money alone can guarantee, and only while it is stocked.

  2. 02

    Equip the spray

The spray is a usable item, not a passive. Take it from your inventory or hotbar and hold it before you walk the rows — the guide video demonstrates equipping, then clicking the crop.

  3. 03

    Check the crop's current mutation

A crop carries one mutation at a time, and a new spray overwrites whatever is already there. Spraying Cosmic over a Wet crop throws the old mutation away along with the cash it cost.

  4. 04

Clear valuable mutations with Acid Spray first

Acid Spray removes the current mutation without applying a new one, so Cosmic lands on a clean crop. Both videos treat this as the standard pre-spray step; the narration adds that Acid Spray can also drop from the Trucker event (narration-only).

  5. 05

    Click your best crop

The 8x multiplies that one plant's harvest, so aim it where value already stacks: an Outer Ring plant at a high level turns Cosmic into the largest absolute gain. A low-value crop wastes the spray.

Acid Spray itself is cheap next to what it protects: $1M cash or 19 Robux in the Gear Shop. Spraying Cosmic straight over a mutation you did not want is fine; spraying it over one you did want is the mistake this step prevents.

When a Cosmic Spray is worth spending

Cosmic sits in the middle of the spray ladder: a real upgrade over Rainbow, below Fire, Bubblegum, and Eclipse. Prices scale much faster than multipliers, so the comparison is about cost per point, not rank alone.

SprayMultiplierGear Shop cash
Eclipse Spray12×$50Qn
Fire Spray10×$1qd
Bubblegum Spray$250T
Cosmic Spray$25T
Rainbow Spray$1T

Values render from this site's dataset. Eclipse costs 2,000 times Cosmic's cash for 1.5 times its multiplier — the full S-to-C ranking of every spray lives on the spray tier list.

Spend it on
Your highest-value crop, ideally an Outer Ring plant at a high level. Ring, level, and other multipliers stack with the 8x, so the same spray is worth wildly different amounts on different plants.
Never spend it on
Unmutated or low-value crops. One spray on the wrong plant is 25T of cash or weeks of Plant Tokens gone — the narration's advice here is sound even where its multiplier ranking is not.
If the crop already has Fire or Bubblegum
Leave it. 10x and 9x both beat 8x, and a crop holds only one mutation, so spraying Cosmic over either one is a downgrade dressed up as an upgrade.

The complete ranking with every spray, tier, and price: the spray tier list. To see what 8x does on top of your actual ring and level multipliers, run the crop through the profit calculator.

What this page refuses to publish

Each row is a question a Cosmic Spray owner would reasonably ask and no source can answer. They stay open on purpose; a filled-in guess would be worse than a gap.

  • Boss drop rate

    Unknown

The narration confirms a Cosmic Spray can drop from the Plant Rush boss and says outright that it is not guaranteed. No percentage is published, and the frame on this page shows the drop, not its odds.

  • Which wave spawns the boss

    Unknown

'Wave four' exists only as narration in one video. No frame shows a wave counter and the community wiki records no wave order, so the claim stays unverified here.

  • How often the Gear Shop stocks it

    Unknown

'Rarely in stock' is attested by the narration and by one shop panel at Stock 0. The restock rate for Cosmic specifically is not documented; the shop's general five-minute timer is, and it has its own page.

  • Composter odds and tier

    Unknown

The dataset records the Composter as a Cosmic Spray source with no odds and no tier requirement. On camera its rewards include sprays in general; Cosmic itself never appeared.

  • Whether 849 Robux is still current

    Unknown

One video and the dataset agree on 849 Robux, but in-game Robux prices have moved between records before, and no second independent source confirms the number today.

Cosmic Spray questions

How do you get Cosmic Spray in Build A Ring Farm?

Three working routes: the Gear Shop sells it for 25 trillion cash or 849 Robux when it is in stock (it rarely is), the Plant Rush shop sells it for 25,000 Plant Tokens, and it can drop from the Plant Rush boss or come out of a Boss Box at a recorded 5%. The dataset also lists the Composter as a source.

How much does Cosmic Spray cost?

Two published prices: 25T in-game cash or 849 Robux in the Gear Shop, and 25,000 Plant Tokens in the Plant Rush shop, where it is the most expensive item on the shelf.

Why is Cosmic Spray never in stock?

The recording behind this page shows the Gear Shop panel at Stock 0 while a restock timer counts down, and the narration says the item rarely appears. How often Cosmic specifically is stocked is not published, so the practical play is to keep the 25T ready and check the shop often.

What does the Cosmic mutation do?

It multiplies one crop's harvest value by 8. Cosmic is spray-only — no weather event ever rolls it — and since a crop holds one mutation at a time, the spray replaces whatever mutation was on the plant before.

Do I need Acid Spray before using Cosmic Spray?

Only if the crop already carries a mutation worth keeping. Acid Spray strips the current mutation for 1M cash or 19 Robux so Cosmic applies to a clean plant. On an unmutated crop you can spray directly — the overwrite only costs you something when the old mutation had value.

Is Cosmic Spray better than Fire Spray?

Not in multiplier terms: Fire applies 10x and Bubblegum 9x, both above Cosmic's 8x. Cosmic's advantages are price — 25T versus 250T and 1qd — and the number of ways to obtain it. Eclipse sits above everything at 12x for 50Qn. The full ladder is on the spray tier list.

Run the numbers before you spray

The 8x lands on exactly one crop. Check what your ring, level, and other multipliers already do, then pick the plant that turns 25T into the most.
