Mission board
Plant Contracts in Build A Ring Farm
The mission board most players search for as plant contracts is labelled Contracts in game. Here is what it shows, what it pays, and which parts nobody has published yet.
It is called Contracts, not Plant Contracts
Guides, search suggestions, and the Update 4 changelog line all say Plant Contracts. Inside the game the system is named Contracts: the board, its missions, the skill branch, and the two player titles all read Contracts. This page keeps Plant Contracts in the heading because that is what players type, and uses Contracts in the body because that is what you will see on screen.
What the game labels
Contracts. The skill branch, the mission text, and the title names all use that word, and no in-game parameter is called Plant Contracts.
Where the other name comes from
The Update 4 New Mechanics line on the community wiki (revision 1983) is written as a single bullet: Plant Contracts. That log line is the whole origin of the name.
Both names come out of the same single-editor community wiki, so this is a naming clarification, not a cross-checked fact. Treat it as the reading that matches what the UI shows.
The Contracts board, screen by screen
Six of the seven frames from one continuous recording of the board, in the order they appear; the Reroll dialog is shown in its own section below. The readings quoted here are what the screen showed at that moment, not a published table.

Every frame on this page is a real capture from the recording identified below, checked at full resolution: no cropped thumbnails, no recreated panels, no generated art. The channel is a single playthrough, so a reading shown here is one observation at one rank, not an official value list, and the recording predates Update 17.

- Cards, not a queue
- Three contract cards sat on the board at once, each with its own difficulty label, requirement, reward lines, and Reroll button.
- A Contract Rank bar
- An XP bar runs above the cards. It read 130/2,000 XP early in the recording and 2,480/7,500 XP on a higher-rank board, so the bar total moves with rank. No rank table is published.
- Three reward lines
- Every card paid a cash percentage plus Contract Rank XP; two of the three also listed a fertilizer. The Update 7 fix line confirms cash and spray labels are part of a contract.
- You stand at a panel
- The interaction prompt named the board and the Submit action, which is why rewards are collected at the panel instead of landing in your balance automatically.

Captured at 0:44 · A single Novice card close up: three Prismatic or better plants, progress 0/3, and Cash, fertilizer, and XP reward lines under a Reroll button.
Captured at 2:02 · The completion dialog for one card, listing the cash payout and XP with a Claim button, while the finished card behind it already reads Completed.
Captured at 2:04 · A finished card flagged Completed with a green check and a floating completion message carrying the XP award.
Captured at 4:55 · A Skilled card that stacks two conditions: a Divine-or-better plant count and a minimum total seed value, with its cash and XP rewards.
Captured at 15:10 · A higher-rank board at Expert badge level: the rank bar is far along, the badge row reaches Master, and the visible task is a pure total-seed-value target.
How a contract is finished and paid out
Four steps, each of them visible in the frames above. Nothing here is inferred from a guide video.
- 01
Meet the requirement
A card asks for one of three shapes: a count of plants at a rarity or above, a minimum total seed value, or those two joined together. Higher value and rarer stock is what the board rewards.
- 02
Submit at the panel
Progress moves as you hand the plants in at the board. When the requirement is met, the card flips to Completed with a green check and a floating XP message.
- 03
Claim by hand
A Contract Completed dialog lists what the card pays and waits on a Claim button. Until you press it, the cash and the rank XP have not been awarded, so keep the payout in the same session you finished the task.
- 04
Rank up and re-read the board
Claimed contracts feed the Contract Rank bar. The recording showed a higher-rank board with larger value targets and a badge row reaching Master, so rank changes what the board offers; how the pool changes per rank is not published.
Because a contract pays a cash percentage rather than a flat amount, its real value depends on the rest of your setup; the profit calculator shows how multipliers compound, and it does not model contracts.
Difficulty labels: what is on camera and what the wiki names
Two different word lists describe contract difficulty, and nobody has reconciled them. Here is each list with its evidence level.
Seen on the board
These are labels photographed on cards in one recording. They are not a definition of any tier.
Novice
The lowest card visible on the board, and the only tier that asked for a single condition plus a modest reward line.
Skilled
Appeared next to the two labels either side of it on the same board, and asked for one plant worth a minimum value.
Expert
Shown two conditions joined by AND on one card, and a pure value target on a higher-rank board.
Master
Reached only as a badge on the rank bar later in the recording, alongside a much larger value target.
Named in the skill missions
These are the only difficulty words the community wiki uses anywhere, and each one appears inside a Contracts mission, never as a definition. The mission lines under each word are read from this site's game dataset.
Expert+
T3 · Complete 10 Expert or higher contractsCounted by a mid-tier mission. What separates it from the tier below it is not written down.
Master+
T5 · Complete 20 Master or higher contractsT7 · Complete 50 Master or higher contractsT8 · Complete 75 Master or higher contractsCounted by later missions, including the one that grants a Contract Requirements reduction. Still undefined.
Celestial
T5 · +1 extra reward from Celestial contractsT9 · Submit 50qd in total contract value and complete 15 Celestial contractsThe only label with a stated property: a Contracts branch reward grants Celestial contracts one extra reward. Whether it sits above or below the tier before it is not stated.
No source orders these words, defines the plus suffix, or lists the tiers under the middle label. Any complete-looking ladder you find elsewhere is filling a gap.
Rarity targets are a roll problem before they are a board problem; how Seed Luck works covers the odds you are actually fighting.
The Contracts branch of the Skill Tree
Contracts completions feed their own skill branch. Every mission, requirement, and reward below is read from the game dataset on this site, so the numbers change when the dataset is re-reviewed, not when this page is edited.
| Tier | Mission | Requirement | Reward | Also gated behind |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| T1 | Signed Sprouts | Complete 5 contracts | +5% Sprinkler Boost | Previous tier only |
| T2 | Reliable Farmer | Submit 1B in total contract value | +1% Farm Earnings | Previous tier only |
| T3 | Expert Orders | Complete 10 Expert or higher contracts | +5% Saw Yield Boost | Previous tier only |
| T4 | Bulk Shipment | Submit 250T in total contract value | +3% Farm Earnings | Previous tier only |
| T5 | Celestial Client | Complete 20 Master or higher contracts | +1 extra reward from Celestial contracts | Late-Game T1 |
| T6 | Master Dispatcher | Submit 5qd in total contract value | +5% Saw Yield Boost | Previous tier only |
| T7 | Celestial Ledger | Complete 50 Master or higher contracts | +5% Farm Earnings | Late-Game T6 |
| T8 | Grand Orders | Complete 75 Master or higher contracts | -20% Contract Requirements | Previous tier only |
| T9 | Crowned Ledger | Submit 50qd in total contract value and complete 15 Celestial contracts | +5% Farm Earnings | Late-Game T8 |
There is no Contract Cooldown
The record contains no parameter called Contract Cooldown anywhere. The reduction that gets quoted as one sits on this branch instead, and it cuts Contract Requirements, meaning the amount you have to hand in, not a timer between offers.
The row carrying it in the table above: T8, Complete 75 Master or higher contracts → -20% Contract Requirements.
Mission text follows the wiki revision pinned in the sources block below. The wiki is maintained by one editor, so a re-sync is a review, not a second opinion.
The branch sits inside a larger tree with cross-branch gates; the skill tree breakdown covers every branch and the unlock order.
Plants the wiki attributes to contracts
The community wiki's plant table records one source value of Contracts. Names only: the wiki publishes no drop rate for it, its own page leaves cost, roll chance, and grow time blank, and three mutually exclusive unit prices exist on the record, so this site publishes none of them.

What a Contract Reroll costs
Every card on camera carried a Reroll button, and pressing it opened a real-money dialog rather than a free swap.
The purchase dialog at 4:47 charged a Robux price for one Contract Reroll against the player's balance. That price is one observation in one recording; it is not a published price list, and it can move with a game update.
Update 9's log line (revision 1975) added a free daily contract reroll and, in the same sentence, marked it as being in a testing phase with some players not seeing it. The wiki never records that test ending or shipping fully.
So the honest answer is two-part: a paid reroll is documented on camera, and a free daily reroll is documented as an unfinished experiment. Whether either still describes your build today is unverified.
Before spending Robux on a swap, compare it with what the same money buys on the permanent side: farm skins carry a cash or Farm Earnings multiplier for good, instead of rerolling one task.

Player Titles that count contracts
Titles are account-wide and carry a permanent passive bonus. Values below come from the title dataset, and the wiki spells both contract titles with an s.
| Title | Condition | Bonus |
|---|---|---|
| Contracts Master | Complete 100 contracts | +7.5% Saw Yield Boost |
| Contracts Chad | Complete 1,000 contracts | +25% Saw Yield Boost |
The wiki table writes Contracts Master and Contracts Chad, with the s on both. That is the spelling in the source and the spelling players search with.
The Farmer's Deal has its own title set: 7 of them are in the dataset, and the source's requirement column for each one says only Farmers Deal, with no count. Anyone quoting a threshold for those titles is inventing it.
Every title, its bonus group, and the count dispute are on one page: the player titles list.
The Farmer's Deal is a different system
It shares a shopkeeper aesthetic with contracts and nothing else in the record. The community wiki has no entry page for it, so every statement below has to come from a line in an update log.
- Introduction
- Update 9 logged it as new mechanics and new content in the same revision that added the free daily contract reroll. Nothing about how the Deal works was recorded with it.
- Rotation
- The only timing evidence is an Update 10 fix line reading Fixed farmers deal resetting before 7 days. That implies a seven-day cycle, but the wiki never states one, so this site calls it an inference.
- Rewards
- Exactly one reward can be attributed: Update 11 fixed 2X Luck not persisting across sessions from the farmers deal. That tells us a Deal once granted a luck boost, not that every Deal does.
- Per update
- Updates 12 and 14 to 17 log the Deal as Updated or New with no content attached, and Update 13 does not mention it at all. Any page listing what each Deal gave is writing fiction.
The same window also added Shady Farmer Quests, filed under new mechanics while the Deal sat under new content. The wiki never connects them, and an entity called Overgrown Farmer does not exist in it at all, only a farm skin with a similar name.
Deal entries and their gaps are tracked update by update on the update log.
Update log lines that mention contracts
The complete paper trail, one line per update, with the revision each line was read at. Dates come from the update dataset; when no date was published the row says so instead of guessing a week.
| Update | Release date | What the log records |
|---|---|---|
| Update 4Mutation Expansion | 2026 | New Mechanics line reads Plant Contracts. This is the introduction of the board and the origin of the name most people search. |
| Update 5Carnival | Early June 2026 | A fix line reads Plant Contracts spamming, the second and last time the two-word name appears in the log. |
| Update 7Bee Hives | June 20, 2026 | Two fixes: Contract rank not loading upon joining, and Contracts not showing cash and spray labels. Together they confirm a persistent rank and cash plus spray rewards. |
| Update 9Wizard Update | July 4, 2026 | Adds Farmers Deal and a free daily contract reroll, with the reroll explicitly marked as a test that some players could not see. |
| Update 10Wizard Event Part II | Release date not published | Fixes farmers deal resetting before 7 days, the only rotation timing in the record, and adds Shady Farmer Quests as a separate item. |
| Update 11Farm Guilds | Release date not published | Fixes 2X Luck not persisting across sessions from the farmers deal, the only attributable Deal reward. |
| Update 13Fishing Frenzy Part II | August 1, 2026 | No contract or Deal line at all. Absence worth recording, because later lists quietly backfill this update. |
| Update 14Cyber Event | August 8, 2026 | New Farmers Deal with no content, the pattern every later update repeats. |
What this page refuses to publish
Each row is a question a player would reasonably ask and a source cannot answer. They stay open on purpose; a filled-in guess would be worse than a gap.
Task pool per Contract Rank
UnknownNo source lists which requirements appear at which rank, how many slots each rank opens, or whether the pool is random. The recording shows samples, not a roster.
Reward table per rank
UnknownCash percentages, XP awards, and which consumable appears are photographed case by case. Nothing maps rank or requirement size to a payout.
Offer refresh timing
UnknownThere is no Contract Cooldown parameter in the record, and no published interval for when new cards appear either. Both halves of the question are open.
Difficulty ladder and the plus suffix
UnknownExpert, Master, and Celestial are named; the tiers beneath Expert are not, the ordering is not, and what the plus suffix adds is not defined anywhere.
Contract Rank thresholds
UnknownTwo bar totals were photographed at two moments. The rank cap, the XP needed per rank, and whether ranks ever reset are unpublished.
What unlocks the board
UnknownNo source states the floor, level, or progression point at which Contracts first appear. Guides that give a number do not cite one.
Farmer's Deal contents
UnknownNot one period's actual contents is attributable. The seven-day cycle is inferred from a bug fix and the 2X Luck boost from another.
Deal title thresholds
UnknownThe source's requirement column for those titles carries no count, so no progress target can be stated for any of them.
Contract reward plant odds and price
UnknownThe chance is described qualitatively and rises with contract value; no percentage is published. Three conflicting unit prices exist for the plant, and this site refuses to pick one.
Whether the free daily reroll shipped
UnknownThe log line calls it a test and no later revision closes it out, so its current state is unknown, and the paid price on camera may have moved since.
Questions about contracts, answered at source level
What are plant contracts in Build A Ring Farm?
They are the Contracts mission board: hand in plants you have grown and take a cash percentage, a consumable such as a fertilizer, and Contract Rank XP. The game labels the system Contracts; Plant Contracts is the wording from the Update 4 changelog that stuck in search results.
Do contracts have a cooldown?
No parameter called Contract Cooldown exists in the community wiki record at all. The reduction people attach to a cooldown is a Contract Requirements cut on the Contracts skill branch, which lowers how much you must hand in rather than how often offers refresh. When new cards appear is genuinely unpublished.
How much does a Contract Reroll cost?
On camera, one reroll was bought through a Robux purchase dialog at 4:47 in the source recording. Update 9 separately logged a free daily reroll that it described as a test not all players could see, so whether a free reroll exists in your build is unverified.
Are Contracts and the Farmer's Deal the same system?
No. Contracts is a mission board with a persistent rank; the Farmer's Deal is a rotating offer that has no entry page on the wiki. Not one source states a relationship between them, and the Shady Farmer and Overgrown Farmer connections some pages claim have no record behind them.
What do contracts give besides cash?
The skill branch converts completions and submitted value into permanent boosts, and the branch reward for Celestial contracts adds one extra reward per Celestial completion. Two titles count completed contracts, with a permanent Saw Yield Boost each. The wiki's plant table also lists one Transcended plant whose source is Contracts, with no published drop rate.
Should I finish contracts before other tasks?
This page cannot rank them, because no source publishes the per-rank task pool or payout table, and the boosts on offer overlap with the rest of the skill tree. What can be said is narrower: contracts pay a cash percentage plus rank XP, so their value rises with your output rather than replacing it.

Skill missions and title values render from this site's game dataset, last reviewed August 30, 2026.
The community wiki is maintained almost entirely by one editor. That makes it the best human-edited record available and still a single source, so agreement between two of its pages is not independent verification.
Screenshots come from one YouTube playthrough, checked frame by frame at full resolution. Readings from them are written as observations with a timestamp, never as a value table.
